I’m a graphic designer in Chicago obsessed with crafting the perfect typography and visual elements to create stunning digital and print experiences. Check out my design portfolio below.
Hi! My name is Atiyya Shahab. I’m a graphic designer in Chicago with an interest in digital experiences but also appreciates the beauty in print-based media. Many people consider design to be a right brained, intuitive discipline. However, I’ve been enjoying the harmony of both the logical and intuitive thinking behind design since 2006, when I starting designing and coding websites at the age of twelve. I’ve been honing my craft ever since. I am currently a senior at Columbia College Chicago earning a BFA in Graphic Design. You can view my resume here.
Left Brained Skills
I believe that good design requires some left-brained thinking. Organization, order, and reason are all required to make a design that is appropriate and logical.
- Photoshop & Lightroom
- Dreamweaver (but I hand code)
- Premiere Pro
- Sketch (Bohemian Coding)
- HTML & CSS
Right Brained Skills
Design is boring without right-brained thinking. Good design stands out by doing unexpected things, and showing connections that otherwise go unnoticed.
- Visual Identity Design
- Web Design & User Interface Design
- Page Layouts and Print Design
- Digital Illustration
- Basic Photography
I am currently looking for a position that where I can offer my visual design and technical skills, and also be challenged to improve my skills and remain a life-long learner.
